Looking for the perfect rifle

They're not for everyone, but take a look at the Tikka Battue.

The synthetic bluing on that rifle, that's pretty durable in the rain right? I like that it has a stainless bolt as well. Is there any velocity loss due to having a 20 inch barrel over a 22? The price on that rifle is nice, $850 bucks, and the iron sights are pretty killer.

I'm guessing the bolt is smooth like any other t3, tikka sure makes a fine rifle.

I'm going to have to check one of those out next time I'm at WSS, thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Tikka Battue

Short, Light & Fast handling. Very quick sights. Check one out. For me a little too plasticy. And as for sub MOA, It's possible with handloads and tons of practice. Good luck!

Tikka's are all long action? I don't want to feel like I'm working a waterpump in the field and have my scope available in one eye relief position.

no such thing as a perfect rifle as far as factory arms go.you want perfect you go custom.if you could get a perfect rifle in a factory offering everyone of use would only have 1 rifle in the safe, that would be boring and no fun.

"...1:11 or 1:12 twist..." Standard rifling twist for .308 is 1 in 10. Browning uses 1 in 12 in the BAR. No SS though.
