Looking for tools

Crappy Tire or any other hardware store. A screwdriver is a screwdriver. Unless you're looking for specialized tools like barrel vises, headspace guages etc. Then you go to Brownell's. Some shops do carry a few guages, but there is no big tool's only retailer in Canada.

Tools for guns

Crappy Tire is the last place to look for screw drivers, unless they have hollow ground tips. A regular screw driver has a tip like a wedge, they burr up the screw head, and it looks terrible on a new gun. The hollow ground type are better, they fit the slot and have better bearing on the screw head.
I would order a set of Chapmans, Pachmayr, or B-Square, from Wholesale Sports. Check out their 2005-2006 catalog page 233 or go on line to
w ww.wholesalesports.com. If you want to retain some of the future value of the firearm get the correct tools. I always look at the screw heads on a forearm to see if Bubba was tinkering with it. If the heads are really screwed up, I think twice about purchasing.

Good hunting

As far as screwdrivers go, have plenty, and regrind them to fit as required. Get good ones; cheap ones will bend or break. Most gunsmithing tools are general wood and metalworking tools. Many specialized ones can be obtained from Brownells. Get the Lee Valley catalogues. Their tools are first class. One essential tool is Brownells catalogue, another is Gun Parts Corp.'s catalogue. The diagrams alone are worth the price. It is also possible and practical to make many specialized tools.

If you need anything from Brownells and can't get it, we can probably help.
