Looking for value of a Winchester 1894 made in 1898

Hello. I have a Winchester 1894 in 25-35 WCF that was made in 1898 according to the serial number. It has a 20 inch octagonal barrel that looks like someone touched up the muzzle. The wood has old varnish on it with a crack by the tang and a crack on the forestock. The rifle is complete and seems to work properly. The barrel has rifling but looks rough. The bolt has a small chunk missing by the extractor. I am planning on listing this on the EE but I have no idea of value. I hope someone here can give me an idea.

What a lovely little rifle! Seen hard times and a little abuse but still looks great. I would much prefer to be collecting these rather than Red Rifles
but these get expensive. I will be looking for it on the EE, some one more knowledgeable will chime in with a ballpark price soon.:bigHug:
 
It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In that shape I personally wouldn't pay more then $250 or $300 but that's me. Someone else may feel differently. Considering that you can pick up pre 64 model 94's in decent shape for $400 to $500 I'm not sure this would be worth more then that.
 
If the gun was in excellent condition and the serial checked out as 1898 with Cody; it would hold a high price..

But, it appears from the pictures your gun has no value as a collector and limited value as a shooter, unless you reload. . The condition is poor as the barrel has been cut back, the wood is poor as well so no value there either. . I'd list it at $375 and see what it does and wouldn't turn down $250 to $300. .
