Looking for votes, .460 5" or 8.38"?

I'm looking at the smith and Wesson x frame and can't decide on the 5" or &.38" barrel. I held the 8.38" at the gun show and decided I would go with the 6.5" barrel. To my surprise that only comes in the .500. What do you guys think? Will I regret buying the 5"?

I have the 500 in 6.5" and have fired the 8 3/8 a few times. I think the 6.5 handles better, but the 8 3/8" barrel looks so much better with the full underlug. It makes it the wow factor when you pull it out so much better.

I don't know anyone that's allowed to carry one, so mostly range.

My vote goes to the 8 3/8 because it handles the recoil better.

I have the 8 3/8" 500, I would get the 5" 460

the 5" 460 has the wow factor for flash
the 8 3/8" just looks HUGE and amazing in that sense.

thanks! i was also searching, found one on irunguns (sold out mind you) but is had 2 sling swivels, and a BBL about 14" long! LOL

Eventually I plan on reloading. At the moment I only have a single stage press. That was one of the reasons I went with .460 instead of the.500. And I have a random box of projectiles that I bought by accident one day and never returned.
