I'm running a Vortex Viper 4-12x40 with side focus on my 17hmr. It's a very nice scope and hits all the right features I am looking for except for the narrow view through the eye box.

I recently acquired a cheap Simmons 4x and a new Burris 2-7x32 and it dawned on me that I really like to have a wider eyebox.

Are there scopes out there that are well known to have this feature? I'd be looking to replace the Viper with something around the 4-16x range.

Thanks.

Zeiss Diavari and Hensoldt probably are top in the eye-box/eye-relief category... sharp and clear edge to edge through adjustment range, as well as the fastest to pick up sight-picture (in relation to your eye-box concern)

Look into them.

fwiw, I have a 6-24 Diavari I'd like to sell.. PM me if you're interested/have questions* (it isn't listed on the site)
