Ive been asking this question for years. 3 to be exact and i have walked miles and miles and miles to no avail. Last year, I have tried, on good information, Southey, Strasburg, Bulyea, Earl Grey, Silton, Lumsden Valley, Craven, Regina Beach, Disley, Bethune, Findlater, Dilke, Markis, Drinkwater, Rouleau, the East to Vibank, Qu'appelle, Fort Qu'appelle, Lipton Cupar. That whole big circle! Over like 6 damn weeks..
I have ran into elk, moose, wolves, minks, and blah blah blah..... But never a piggy. Never pig tracks, poops, or anything. I honestly havent even talked to a farmer who've said he'd saw one. Always that they "heard" about them, Or that there "brothers friend saw one" or something like that.
Quick story. I live near Regina Beach on an acreage. A fella a few km's from me literally free ranges pigs. They are free to come and go, but dont venture far as he feeds and waters them. When you drive into his yard, you will be greeted by a few pigs. Its kinda funny and pretty neat how much they are like a big 350lbs dog.
Anyhoo, last year Lumsden posted in the paper, 'the water front press', the rules to shooting pigs and that sask residents can shoot one any season. Literally that weekend he had one of his pigs shot... BOOM. The fella does not free range piggys anymore. As the story goes no one knew who did it.
If you find em, for Gods sake PM me, just let me know they are here somewhere.
