Im in need of some help from the ladies in this forum.
Im lucky enough to have my better half hunt with me and she has taken up waterfowl hunting more seriously in the past 2 years.
Looking to buy her a proper women’s fitted waterfowl jacket. In the past she wore a mens jacket and hated it. It worked but not comfortable for her.
A few years back she bought a women’s hunting jacket from bass pro but they are more of gimmick than anything. They are poorly insulated, one layer only with no lining etc( would be ok for warm weather and she cant put many layers under it since its kind of springy material)…
Need something for her to wear in actual cold weather and keep her cumfy….
I checked on the bass pro website and they do have listed proper ladies waterfowl jackets with 3 layers… it’s a line of DRAKE waterfowl clothing
I called bass pro and the lady I spoke with said they only carry one womens jacket which is only one layer, no liner from the SHE brand and they only carry it in the Large size….they carry the drake line but only stock the mens jackets……
I called cabelas…. Same deal… we went to sail… the salesman pointed out again one thin flimsy womens jacket they had in stock which is way to thin and I asked him if they will stock any thing from other brands and he just shrugged and said no
Does anyone know any store in southern ontario that carries ladies warm winter jackets for hunting… she would want to actually try the jackets on so ordering online will not work.
