I've been lurking at ppl pictures of the 10/22 shorties and i just have to build one. Who sells good short 11"-12.5" barrels, and carries them in stock up here? I noticed fab arms has some 12.5" barrels but doesn't give the brad name. I saw one guys gun and it had a E.R Shaw barrel that was a beaut.

dlask 12.5 barrel, nordic chasis, yhm forend and a magpul m93 stock, above the overall length law by .75" :)

You would be better off buying a short barrel from Dlask or others before trying to find a Charger barrel for sale.

ya i'll check out the dlask, anyone carry the E.R shaw barrels? I'm not going for a tactical look. Looking to make more of a bush gun, any other must have items for it? Like internals of some sorts?

dlask makes sporter barrels as well, there are a fw places to get green mountain barrels and mystic presition on here can get barrels, hical has some 1022 parts depends on what exactly you want I guess

Are the Dlask barrels drop in? Like would i have to take it to a gun smith or could i do it myself? Also any recommendations on a stock and who carries 10/22 stocks? like bell and carlson or maybe butler creek ect.?

1022 barrels are a push in barrel with a v block, quite simple to change out yourself, stocks depending what you want theres boyds and revolution that make several laminate stocks, right up to archangel, nordic chasis depends on what look your after

This is my shorty, with a Dlask 12.5" and the factory laminate target stock that my dad and I skeletonized. I put a bunch of VQ parts in, but they aren't necessary. I ordered the barrel from Fabsports, it's really easy to put in, as others have said. Sorry for the crappy phone pics

Nice, I bet that is a super light, handy rifle to carry all day.

Yeah, it's very nice to carry (though I'd rather pack my MKIII :(). Already got a couple grouse and rabbits with it. The 1x-4x is great for the thick stuff.
