I am looking for some input about the WS MCR. Will be for 200-300 yard shots, walking through the bush mostly. Also looking for advice on scopes/sights I should be looking into. Thanks!

If I were you I would get a Browning BAR in 270 Win, 308 or 30-06 and never look back. It does not get any better. Put a 2-7x Leupold or a fixed 4x or similar and you are good to go.

I noticed someone had a MCR in 6.5 Grendel- that's what I would do if I was going to build a hunting rifle on the MCR platform. I would top it with a LPVO that has a center red dot feature.

Benelli R1 great rifle , easy to break down and clean , accurate , easy to carry. Mine is 30-06

I have a Belgium BAR in 30-06 does moa or better if I do my part! The rifle is great! Easy to take appart and clean! Gen 1 parts are a bit hard to find!

I have done a lot of research on BARs as well. One thing that is holding me back from buying a browning is the hinge plate clips. I love being able to remove my clips completely. It is very hard to find those guns with such clips. If anyone has any advice on where to look or know of anyone trying to sell one at a reasonable price let me know. Even if someone knows some model numbers that would be great

got my bar 49 years back 3006.....$197.50 hardware store.......feed them hot... keep clean in the gas piston....accurate as all get out......peep sights and now holosun red dot just super..the clips are NO PROBLEM....just learn how to do it..06 270 08 all good....last a lifetime

Not sure what you mean by removing magazines completely but they do detach from the hinged floor plate. As stated, learn to use them and it works just fine. Never had an issue with the mags in the hinged floor plate.
