I'm a pistol guy but would like to buy a good AR. I've done lots of searching here and online. There are so many manufacturers. I have no idea what is good or not so good. I prefer the more aggressive looking ones (badass looking). My budget I think would be no more than $2300.00 or so for a BNIB. I don't mind private or retail. Not interested in used ones people here seem to be getting ride of.

Would like a very good quality one as opposed to a knock off like Norinco.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Eric.

Ps. I live in Torotno.

I'm no AR expert (I do own one) so take my advice with a grain of salt, but Irunguns posted that they're bringing in some more Colt LE6920's and are aiming for a price of $1299 USD.

If 15.7" is to your liking grab a Colt Canada off the EE and spend the change on an optic. If you want something shorter, get a Daniel Defense MK18.

Good advice. I've seen lots of Colt Canada SA 20s and 15.7s slightly used or unfired for $1600. No tax!
Look for a slightly used aim point pro optic for about $400 and you still have $300 left.

If I HAD to buy new and not off the EE (which would never happen) I would likely but a Daniel defence M4V5, retail is about 2100 give or take. Kind of blows your whole budget but buy once cry once and you'll never have to worry about it ####ting the bed on you.
Colt USA or CAN is a good route too.
Just don't cheap out on an optic, buy an aimpoint and you'll have a rock solid red dot that'll last you a lifetime.

I'm not a big fan of the see through look of the DD top rail. This is my Colt with iur. But you have to get what makes you happy. If the DD speaks to you go for it.

Definitely cant go wrong with Daniel Defense! Many great options out there though. DDM4V9LW tornado grey from Wolverine. That colt is mint too!

What about the smith and Wesson m and p sport two on sale at I run guns that seems like a decent deal and starting point

If you're looking for more aggressive, plan to buy a Colt 6920 and throw a KAC M4 RAS on the front and a B5 SOPMod stock on it. Add a Troy Vertical Fore Grip and a Savvy Sniper Sling and an ACOG. Intant USSOCOM badassery right there.

PWS is a top notch rifle maker.I have a Mk112 Mod0 that has been playing to beat the band since I picked her up in 2008. I can't speak directly to the Mod2s, but if anything its an evolution of the design.
