looking to buy my first shotgun

Hey guys/girls Im looking to buy my first shot gun. Ive been looking at the 870 remmy tact. or a Hatsan MP-A. any thoughts would be great. Im not a hunter so not really worried about that aspect.

I have zero issues with my Hatsan MP escort, I got it for 280 a few months ago, no stoppages or FTFs, The gun is a Mossberg clone, great shotgun for the money.

okay stupid question maybe but the MP escort is that the same as the MP-A? and were did you pick it up?

Shooting an 870 yesterday ( a Policeman Special) . Very nice solid no nonsense pump shotgun. A straight shooter.

i have a mossberg 930 very good shooting only 12 ga i own works flawless an didnt break the bank buying it

Hatsan MP is a pump, MPA is semi auto.

Semi auto is fun, but your shot # is more limited than a pump.

I have 3 Hatsans.
A 18.5" Marineguard Optima pump (5+1)
A 20" Escort MP pump (7+1)
A 20" Escort Aimgaurd pump (7+1)

Hatsan pumps have their own thing going on. Fit and finish is excellent, especially for a "budget" priced shotgun.
The MP series is a direct copy of Fabarm, while other models share design aspects with Weatherby.
