I will be posting a WTB in the EE shortly, but since this is my first used gun purchase (and first EE attempt) I figured I might be able to get some help if it's not too much trouble.
I'm not looking for anything fancy. The only difficulty is that I'm left-handed and I would prefer a left-handed gun. I like the 870 action (I have some experience handling them, plus we have a Grizzly in the house), and considering they come lefty I'm inclined to go for one.
Regular wear and tear doesn't bother me, but I don't want a rusty POS obviously. Just a clean, straight shooter is all I need. I don't want any tactical crap right now either, I'd prefer to learn on wood stocks and have fun with the addons when I actually know what I'm doing. I'm looking to spend about $200.
Before I post in the EE, I was wondering if there's anything I should keep an eye out for with respect to the 870. i.e. particular areas that are prone to damage maybe? Also, I don't want to seem unreasonable. What can I expect to get quality-wise for this price?
Thanks in advance for any advice that can be offered.
