Looking to cast for the 9.3x62 - anyone know a good source for a mould?

You could order a custom mold from Boomer's Molds in Regina but no mainstream mold makers make off the shelf .366" molds. Only option for off the shelf is NOE out of the States.

None in Canada that I know of. Try NOE or Accurate Molds. NOE has them in stock, Accurate Molds has several in their online catalogue and will make one for you in about 2 weeks. I have the 280gr NOE and like it. I have pushed it up to 2200fps without leading in a 9.3x57.
 
Thanks for the info, guys. One other question - if I get a GC mould, how would I apply a gas check to the bullet? So far I've been using Lee push-through sizers. Would I have to get a custom one done up by Lee? Or is there another way?

Edit: a little googling around seems to suggest that lapping out a Lee .358 sizer might be the way to go.

If you order a mold from NOE, check out the push through sizer kit he makes and sells. It's a real beauty. It comes with replaceable bushings you can order in any size to match your mold and barrel. I bought one and love it. Any time I order a new mold I will order the appropriate bushing. You can also nose size with it and size base first with a nose punch to protect the nose from deformation.

Thanks for this. I didn't see that on the NOE site. Looks like a great system.
 
Its not in Canada, but I ve had good results from Cast Bullet Engineering in Australia. Certainly better to stay away from U.S. dollars and several designs available. Also good to deal with. Watch out for the time zone - they are 18hrs ahead of B.C.

I have many molds from Accurate Molds and they always drop within .0005" of the size I specified when I ordered it (they also ask which alloy you use). Great company to deal with.

After shipping are there any other fees to be paid when purchasing their 2 cav molds?What's the price "to your door"?

I have that kit and if you like the "Lee Style" push-through sizer, it's the way to go. After the modest cost of the Sizer Die, it comes down to inexpensive bushings in 1 thou increments - nothing "custom" about this. I have a few dozen Lee Sizers that I will keep, but all new Sizers will be from NOE.

Which check you use depends on the gas check shank on the bullet, not necessarily the bullet diameter. At one time most 9.3mm gas check bullets were made to accept .375 checks. Copper .375" Gator Checks work very nicely on the NOE 280 gr bullet. The 9.3mm checks offered by some makers are slightly undersize and too tight to fit on the NOE bullet.
