looking to reload 7.62x39 wondering bullet diameter

i am wondering if someone can steer me in a direction here, i have my sks, i slugged the barrel, both times the diameter came out .311 in the one set of rifling across from each other, the other time is was .312, what size bullet should i go and get to use in this gun?
 
The .310-.311 are what you need. Vmax great bullet for varmint but may get shallow craters on deer and bear. A nice exposed lead tipped bullet will be ideal for that gun for black bear n deer. That gun shot the priv stuff very well.
 
Both my Chinese and Yugoslavian SKS rifles bore slugs out at .312 across the grooves. .310 dia. J bullets shoot the most accurately followed by the .311's. .308 dia. bullets are not accurate at all in my rifles.

21gr of IMR 4198 and a Sierra 150gr .311 torn a 4 shot one hole group at 75 yards from a SKS...............Harold
