I've got a ruger precision rifle and want to upgrade my hand guard. I want better scope clearance so I want to get rid of my handguard with the integrated top rail, and move to a low profile hand guard with no top rail. Something like a jp enterprise 15"-18" hand guard. Looking for other options that a similar and of course, available in Canada. Thanks for any advice.

One thing I found when researching for something different myself that you have to watch for is with hand guards not made for the RPR is some won't line up straight and some will not cover the barrel lock nut. If you find one you like google it on a RPR and see what images come up, then if you click on the image it will sometimes take you to a write up or a forum talking about the gun with info on the install.

I went with the Seekins but that is of no help to you as it still has a full top rail, but the flat bottom and superior attachment system is what I was after, plus they make one for the RPR.

Here is a JP enterprises on a project RPR that came up with no top rail when I was looking for info on the Seekins if you need some info on it or not, if this is even the model you were thinking of.

Besides that have you looked at the handgaurd on the enhanced RPR, it has no top rail, is made for the RPR and is listed for sale seperate by Ruger. Not sure on Canadian availability of the ruger gaurd, but that could be looked into if it looks like some thing that would suit you.
