That's not too bad. The cheapest new sale price I have seen is $1600 (not sure which gen).

I see $1000+ Glock 17's and shake my head...

That must have been a gen 1, if I recall correctly I paid $1400 for mine used with a claimed 50 rounds down the barrel, looks like new so I don't care if it actually has 1000 through it.

$1000+ for a Glock 17? Are you shopping for the highest price? Is that for one with adjustable night sights or something? There is a big difference if you go with basic fixed sights or upgraded sights.

I see $925-$950 plus at least 5% for basic G17's.

Here's hoping that the 10mm NR Kriss comes in below $2k CAD all-in if/when imported.

While living in the states I carried either a Glock 20 or 29 in 10mm auto and used Double Tap ammo. His 10mm loads were pretty darn impressive. I never felt under gunned even in thick bear country. I think it was 230gr hard cast flat nose that I carried in the woods and out of a carbine I think a round like that would be impressive to say the very least.
