Hi everybody, I'm trying to find out if anybody has a leftover bismuth shot for sale preferably #4. Or if anyone knows where to find this in quantity at a good price so far all I can find is 7 lb at roughly 350 to $400.

Specifically looking for business because it's non-toxic

I believe Bilozir is the only place in Canada. They will custom order for you. I don't think "a good price" is an option anywhere any more.

Correction: just saw some at Sporteque...

Correction: Looks like they are ear.99 so no export permit required from the US (double check https://www.bis.gov/regulations/ear/interactive-commerce-control-list) so you'd be free to buy in the US and bring here (subject to you being able to possess them in the US - having an approved form 6nia should cover that)

When in doubt read this: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-...art-774/appendix-Supplement No. 1 to Part 774 - it's a dense read so you should print it out and trace the exclusions marking the paper but looks like it's not covered...

(I'm not a lawyer so you should always verify this yourself as you would be the one at risk if I misinterpreted something)

I have an unopened 7 lb container of Bi #4 shot from Ballistic Products that I bought last year and had delivered to a friend in the States to save cross-border shipping. Still, with the exchange rate it was $275 CDN by the time I got it home. Twenty years ago when I bought my first BI shot for waterfowl with my BP handloads, it was $135: still expensive but not so crazy as now. My current 7 lb container is available for my cost plus shipping from Ottawa.
