Losing out to magnums?

I'd go with the .260 Rem, hands down. The .25-06 will do about as well. I'm assuming dual-purpose as large varmint to deer/blackies, maybe moose in a pinch. Neither of these choices is great for gophers or anything where you'll shoot a lot.....the .243 will shine there.
I can live with my Roberts even if I didn't handload, but factory ammo is really tailored for deer hunters.
