Lost Hunter Found

Glad to hear he's okay even though he's a little thinner. Maybe we can start a new weight loss trend! On a serious note though this example shows just how unprepared some people are when they head out into the bush. He did well to stay alive in freezing temps for 3 weeks, but I don't think I'd have sat there for that long without food or water. The bush can do some strange things to people. I knew a guy who got lost and then ran down a logging road in a blind panic discarding guns, gear and clothing as he went. I wonder if this experience will deter Mr.Lambert from heading to the bush anymore.

Nobody knows the real story but yet some guys are already throwing insults ...what a place.
On a positive note....glad to hear he that are fellow sportsman is alive and well.

Saw the story on the Winnepeg news. They interviewed him and he said he got stuck in the mud, ran his truck out of gas, killed the battery and cell phone battery was dead. Said he spent the days lighting signal fires and the nights sleeping in his truck.

So it took him over 20 days to figure out that he could walk back to the main road by following the trails he drove in on. This is not a case of a hunter walking five miles into dense bush and becoming disoriented or injured and not being able to find his way out for 21 days.

More like he drives in, gets stuck and can't phone for help. So rather than do something to get himself out of his predicament, he sits on his ass for 20 days waiting to be "rescued." He should be too embarassed to show his face on TV.

Why couldn't the search team find his truck?
