Well, my dumb little brain didn't prevent the spring, above the action, from flinging the "piston" into a jungle of grass. :bangHead: After hours of being on hands and knees combing through the tall grass, I gave up. I searched on the sponsors above but cannot see anyone selling spare SVT-40 parts. Can someone help me or point me in a right direction?

So sad to see my SVT-40 out of service for not having one tiny little part. I see now why the russians found this rifle to be a pain to disassemble! :sok2

Thanks!

First time I took mine apart that little f**ker came flying out the back and actually left a welt on my stomach :p

Course I wasn't wearing a shirt since I always strip my rifles in the nude in front of the window.

You could try getting a magnet that you drag around. They make them to pick up nails and stuff, roofers use them, might not work in long grass.

had the exact thing happen to me numrich hasm.mine never showed up,went to a gun shop (thanks reliable) where i bought it and measured one off another rifle and got it machined.sorry to near abouy your troubles ive been there.

Same thing happened to me as Cadgo - I was shirtless and cleaning Svetlana(my SVT) for the first time.Sproing and a sudden pain in the abs .Luckily I was in the living room though.

Isn't there a place in the USA that sells parts ? Milsurp something .com.They also have a repro gas plug wrench I looked at on their website.
