Hi,

So I just got this nice shiney barrel from Mysticplayer (thanks again)... and have spent most of the summer working up a load for it...

I have it nicely tuned using 80gr bergers, lapua brass, and varget...

The problem is that after all this hard work, I'm out of the lot number of varget I've been using...

How much will a new lot number affect the accuracy of my load? I've heard "lots", and I've heard "not at all"... What to you guys think? am I ok to keep loading with the new lot number, or do I have to start all over again?

Matters for a bench rest shooter. Not so much for the rest of us. Not at all for a hunting load or even a long range target load.

My personal experience with Varget is that there has been some lot-to-lot variations. This means backing down a couple of grains to start and then working up carefully again. You may not find much difference, or........ As the man says, only one way to find out. Eagleye.
