It looks like you have a nice firing pin removal tool there.:)

I can imagine Lou is drooling at all that nice wood and those spare parts.:D

You bet! :)

I'm corresponding by e-mail to get everything properly identified. The rear sight with the peep hole got me stumped though. for a .22?

The micrometer sight on the far right is a complete C#7 .22cal rear sight and the one next to it comes off the C5 machine gun (1919A4).

Very nice selection of parts. Congrats.

You just back away from those boltheads that I want......you mangy little critter!:D

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not after a bunch of part. Main idea here I think should be to help Sasquatch know exactly what he's got and get decent value on them so that once he decides to part with something, that it's a fair deal for all sides.

Lou

Oh and also: Thanks 37Patt for these identifications!

Thanks for the help 37patt. I knew I came to the right place for advice.
I knew what the No.7 sight was cause it came with others in a bagfull of No.7 parts but I would not ever have figured out the other one. I was thinking more like some european battle rifle because of the metric designation. As for the No.4 sight stamped Mk.III, I had never seen one of those even though I've handled hundreds of No.4's, they always had the milled or the "L" type sights.

Now, what about the three woods that are slotted for rear barrel-mounted sights. Lou says they are from something else, maybe Mausers of two different models.

i might be interested in some wood once I figure out what exactly I have picss and new thread to come soon

ok so i need a full wood set for a 1916 canadian issued smle mklll* I have rear butt stock but its kinda crappy. If you have a set and want to sell it I would need some bands and a nose cap too so maybe we can work out a package?

I'd like to thank all the very helpfull CGN members who helped me identify and catalog all this stuff. Your PM's, e-mails and phone calls have all been very appreciated.
It has been a great learning experience. In the end, it is an interesting find. Although what I thought were un-issued new parts were most often re-finished or re-arsenaled parts there were many pleasant surprises. The stuff turned out to be more than 50% Long Branch, the rest being split between Savage and Canadian Arsenals (late production) with hardly any other makes other than the odd Faz, Singer or Poole part.

Thanks again to all.
