Anyone remember these, owned one or shot them? Came out around the 70's.

Rumour has it that Pedersoli made the locks and possible the whole kit.

Nice blunderbuss. This one is at the other end of the scale.

Eighty caliber is pretty much 8 gauge.
You can approach a full three ounces of payload.
That's alot of lead with a single trigger pull.

There's an.older tale that a Texas lawman defended him and his wife against four invaders upon horseback using a side by side 8 gauge shotgun.
The first barrel outright killed the nearest rider and mortally wounded the rider close behind him with the same shotload.

I have a cheap Cva kit blunderbuss that my son and I use for skeet. Great fun, poor accuracy unless the bird is 10 feet away

Where can I find a large bore Blunderbuss these days guys? The ones on Loyalists are nice but I'm looking for larger bore like the ones you guys have? Thanks a million!

Your best bet if you afford it is to have one custom made here is one off of the American longrifle forum that someone made.CVA use to make a blunderbuss in 69 cal in assembled and kit forms do pecatonia Long rifle supply sells a blunderbuss kit in 75 cal they are in the states but being that it is a flintlock importing will be no problem

The flintlock French blunderbuss on Loyalist Arms webpage is a 10 gauge. A few years back I used mine for hunting snowshoehares in the thick bush.

I’ve got a neat one that my tool-and-die-maker father built from scratch in the 1960’s...It’s made out of tool steel, and can chamber pretty much anything you want… I have childhood memories of him filling it full of nuts and bolts or nails and shredding trees! I’ll snap a pic of it and post it.

If I was going to have one built I would want a 24 inch barrel on it make it sort of a musketoon version

sitting fox is where I got the barrel from for the 1" one here. the rest of the stuff was gathered from all over. now he offeres a kit, which looks prity nice

pretty sure they will ship them btw a the 1 inch is a 4 bore and takes something like 3 oz of shot and around 275gr of powder. being a muzzleloader you could load it how ever you want though just think about it you could use .490 round balls as buckshot in that thing.
