Low cost/adjustable parallax

I’m wondering what’s out there for inexpensive rimfire scopes, that have adjustable parallax/objective. Magnification can be fixed or adjustable in the 3 to 9 range.

I’ve got an application where the typical range is 10 yards. This, along with a low comb and no cheek weld makes for a wandering reticle.

The Tasco varmint 2.5-10x42 would have been the one but it looks discontinued.
I have had a couple and they worked well, and focused down to 10 yd.(or less)
There is a UTG/Leaper bug buster 3-9 that will focus down to 7 yards.
It's drawback is very short eye relief.

Yeah that Tasco looks like the ticket. Can’t find any commercially, but maybe one will pop up on the EE...

The others mentioned are a tad too pricey for this humble application.


I also wonder about air rifle scopes... they should be tough enough to handle springer recoil, and folks tend to shoot them an very short range... What’s that air gun store folks are always referencing? Pyramid? Or is that the American one?
 
Depends how inexpensive you want to go. Hard to beat the bushnell AR Optics lineup for inexpensive. They have a 2-7x36 with a 22lr BDC reticle or a 3-9x40 that would work well. I’d also look at Hawke and Falcon. They’re more expensive but offer good value in my opinion. Hawke and Falcon are popular for air gun applications - adjustable parallax that can be dialed down to 10m or less is important in this market.

X2 on the Hawke, have one on my Diana and it works great at the ranges you want.
 
I just went through this a week ago. Got a savage 22 model 64 gifted to me as older fella my mother knew didn't want guns in his house anymore and he knew I had some. Since I'm not likely to do anything but a little plinking I started looking at smaller, inexpensive scopes, and AO or side focus was a must for me. Searched for a simmons 22 mag scope with AO($80) but couldn't find one in stock. Settled on a tasco air 2-7x32 with AO($90) I have it mounted but haven't shot it yet(maybe tomorrow)AO on the tasco dials down to 7.5
 
The decent adjustable AO scopes suitable for rimfire or air rifles are Simmons 8-Point, 4-12X40...$109, Simmons 8 Point...6-18X50..$122. We carry these in stock. Phil.

May I ask where you got the tasco air? I’ve found one for $100, but I like saving $20 bucks as much as the next guy.
 
There are a lot of inexpensive scopes available, but many of them are not reliable and don't last long. Hawke scopes are very rugged. They have to be because they are rated for use on spring piston air rifles, which have much more recoil than a rimfire. There are several models well under $200.

I’m practicing my skinning and tanning. Patiently waiting for a side shot that lets me put a bullet in one eye, and out the other. (No holes in the hide). The current scope I’m using is fixed parallax at 100, and not helping the matter.

The other option is a solid aftermarket adjustable cheek riser so I can at least have a consistent position.
