Low Cost Shell Carrier Option

If anyone is looking for a shotshell carrier, I highly recommend this one.

I've compared it to my genuine Invictus Pratical 8Q and the AliExpress model actually has better shell retention. I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered another one and at ~$37, it's a steal.

This isn't exactly cheap but much more reasonable than $80-100 i've seen for real carrier. I'm still deciding what to order. Thinking ia California comp or EZ8 as i can't really twin or quad load on the 870 without opening the port.

Shipping is pretty outrageous unless you use China or Hong Kong Post... are those legit?!?
Sorry for asking but I've only ever used Amazon, not Ali Baba.

I haven't paid for shipping yet.

My orders have taken as little at 1 week and as long as 2 months. If you have patience, it's worth it. If you don't, shop in Canada and pay the premium.

The guy behind Invictus Practical is a great guy with awesome service. This looks like a blatant rip-off of his design. Support original innovation and get a quality product. It helps manufacturers to create new and improved products and no bad karma...

I ordered both the holder the the OP posted and also one of the 4X4 units on March 13 and the Invictus style one arrived today. Packing was lack lustre but was well protected. It seems to be fairly good quality and holds 8 2 3/4 shells no problem. I will be trying it out this weekend. So far for $30ish seems well worth it, especially for those of us experimenting to find what we like.

I was intrigued by these too until I saw a clip break off of one on its very first use. I am probably going to spring for the Carbon Arms Pinwheels next year but as this was my first season of 3-Gun I choose to go cheap in case I didn't stick with it. Ended up getting a pair of Taccom 8Up Dualoads for $36 USD a piece. Paired with a $15 Tek Lok and it's about as low budget as I could come up with at this time.

If your not mind set on a x8 caddy, I ordered 2 ghost quad loaders from double tap sports $39 plus shipping, there a site sponsor, shipping was quick, good adjustability, work good for me so far, only practice with them will let you know how they work first shotgun/3 gun match.

My 4x4s just arrived. Any trick to loading them up? With the comments about the clips breaking off...I am a little tentative about bending them back to load in the last round at the top.

That sounds like money well spent!

My real Invictus caddies have been going strong for years, and I have complete confidence in them.
And in the unlikely event that something were to go wrong, Kevin, the owner of the company, will take care of me with zero questions asked.

Good luck with your POS knockoffs.

I ordered 2 of each style to try out as this is my first attempt at 3-gun.
I wasn't sure which style I'd prefer and at $100 per, that was a bit steep to test drive.

They came pretty quick for me and seem to be of "ok" quality. I'll use them till they break and then splurge on the real ones because I hope to know which style works best for me by then.

Hopefully will get to the range soon but duties have been occupying my weekends.

I get the logic you're driving at but consider this: buy the real thing, both styles, sell the style you don't prefer on the EE.

You see all of the Invictus shot shell holders for sale on the EE? That's right, there aren't any...people love it and don't sell it or if they do, it's sold in short order and deleted from the EE. Yes, you might loose a few bucks moving it on the EE but no more than what the knock-offs cost you and in the end you have top quality gear that won't fail you on match day. Just a thought.

I just wrote I was tentative...I did not write that there is anything wrong with them. In fact, they appear very well built and the clips have a pretty hefty screw holding them in, so not sure what other folks were experiencing. I finally just shoved the clips back out of the way and that seems to work fine. In any case...whether they are a POS or not, remains to be seen. Glad you are happy with yours.

^^^ This. Buy once, cry once. Cheap knock offs will end up biting you in the a$$ when your depending on them to perform for you.
