I picked up low Millet Angle Locs from Basspro - only place i could find with Low rings in stock. They are low enough that bell of my 40mm Bushnell curves below the picatinny rail.
PITA to set up compared with single sided rings, but allow for windage adjustment independent of the scope. And they were only $40.
