Low mass and weight PRS optic

I am looking into purchasing a fairly low mass and weight (smallish) PRS style scope for my stock Ruger 10/22 (say in the range of 4X24X44 with a 30 mm tube) or something similar.

Most of the offerings out there from Vortex, Athlon seem very large in mass and weight so as to totally overwhelm (appear top heavy) a small 22 rifle.

Any suggestions?? I'd also prefer to not buy from Chinese manufacturers if possible.
 
If you are looking for a rimfire PRS scope, make sure you check the boxes.. FFP, lots of elevation travel, 5 or 10 MIL turrets revs are easiest for math.

Possibly look at the Eotech Vudu 5-25x50. Not exactly to your specs but it’s an ultra short and might work for you. It is a bit pricey but they do show up on EE once in awhile.
 
If its for prs, buy a scope that works as you'll migrate it to the next rifle.
You won't stick with a dtock 10/22 once you see how poorly you group past 100yards.

Actually though not exact, it's pretty close to what I had in mind and would look pretty good on top of a 10/22.

Thanks for the info. Definitely would consider this option. Lots of other good advice on this thread.
 
Choose an optic not on looks but on what it needs to accomplish for you. If for prs, weight really isn't as big of an issue as usually you would want some added weight for stability, and heavier scopes tend to be sturdier to handle being tossed around. (Ps most 22s in prs are over 10lbs all the way up to 20lbs)

Yes but if you can accomplish that AND get it to look somewhat proportional on a light 22 rifle that would be the preferred option. I would like to use this as a hunting rifle as well so size and weight is important.
 
The Vortex Razor LHT 4.5-22 would work for your application. It's light (22ish oz), has good glass, good illuminated reticle. If you were hoping to stretch it out with a .22 though you'd have to run it without the zero stop as it limits you to 11 mils of elevation (from your zero).
 
I agree with the NX8 but since I don’t have one I did try out my Vudu 5-25 on my TUF 22 short barrel. Not too bad, but not good for anything closer than 25 yards. I’ll probably stick to my red dot.
