I'm looking for a low powered hunting scope. I want big light transmission, a low mounting height for solid cheek weld, and something that is quick to line up when I pull the rifle up. I shoot a ton of iron sights, and I shoot a Lee-Enfield No4 T out to 800m regularly with a 3x scope. I need a really robust scope. Big eye relief would be nice.

I'm thinking something in the 1-5 power range on low rings. I'd prefer a 30mm tube. Rifle it will be going on is a BSA CF2 in 30-06.

Any ideas?

I'd love a Zeiss that answered my criteria but unfortunately a Victory HT or V8 would run me over $3,000 which is not going to happen.

Does anyone know who sells the Kaps Classics here? They have a 1.5-6x42 in a 30mm tube that using a currency converter comes in at about $1,000 which is right about my top end for money I'm willing to spend on this scope.

And from a trusted dealer as well! I had actually looked for something like this from Sightron earlier and hadn't found anything, guess I didn't look hard enough.
