low pressure powder availabilty

Didn't know that. I've been buying 2 or 3 8-lb jugs a year from Hummasson but I guess it's been close to a year now
London...likely closer to 2 + yrs for any 700 X from Brian. I check their site weekly (also Andrew's site) to see what , if any new stock arrives. Tightgroup, Hi gun, Longshot...and the odd time some titewad is available. Been some of the Winchester stuff (kegs) kicking around as of late too...WSF, WST

CAT...here's my stuff I've been using. Comes from Hodgdon's web site. The lowest pressure loads shown use the Win lightning style wads. I use all Clay Buster wads now...have been for yrs. These are the loads I use for the grand son's when they want to shoot my 12 ga Browning 625

1 oz- shot...Win AAHS....W-209....Hi Gun...16.1 grains...CB 4100-12B (win lightning clone)..1180 fps and 6400 PSI (kids)
1 oz- shot...Rem GC, STS, Nitro...W-209...Hi Gun....16.2 grains...CB-4100-12B ....... 1180 fps and 7000 PSI (kids)

~~~all the same as above...swap wads...................16.0 grains...CB 8100-12 (TGT 12) ........1180 fps and 7700 PSI
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 16.3 grains...CB 1100-12 (WAA-12SL) ....1180 fps and 8100 PSI

Easily seen that just a wad change can add more pressure to basically the same loads.

I also load a fair bit of 1300 fps stuff for my SIL...he's using a Maxus semi...and they work flawlessly in that. Even my 1325 fps 7/8 oz stuff cycles 100 % of the time in it.

***** get yourself a cheap box of cheerios and add 2 to each wad prior to shot dump...stack height will be perfect ! For sweeter smelling shells use fruit loops...lmao

Word of caution...when adding the "stack height adjustments"...don't force your drop tube down into the cheerios and plug off the drop tube...just sayin for a friend

Hope this is of some use to you...cheers...Kevin

Thanks so much Kevin!
As soon as Andrew gets in some High Gun I will buy some.

Not 1 oz., but may be useful: WW HS hull. W209 primer. 14 grains Hodgdon Clays powder. Clay buster CB 0178 wad. 7/8 oz shot( 7 1/2 preferred). Chronographs right around 1000 fps. Pretty much duplicates AA 12FL8 factory load. Very soft recoil. Also works well with Remington STS hull.
Planning on loading Perfect Pattern, over the next little while.

I’m starting to do some shotgun reloading and was surprised at the lack of powders available. I figured it would be easier to find shotgun powder compared to rifle powder but I think it’s worse lol
I did find a couple old pounds of green dot/ blue dot so got something at least to get me started
