My range only allows 00 buckshot and slugs for shotguns and I'm tired of getting beat up by my beloved 12 gauge. Any recommendations for low recoil buckshot or slugs that won't break my shoulder or my piggy bank?

Rangeview in Newmarket sells or was selling 1 3/4" slugs and buck shot which are low recoiling if your gun will handle them

SFRC also sells a bunch of low recoil 2.75" slugs and buckshot.

What gun are you using? Have you ever thought about chamber inserts to convert the gauge? You can get 12 ga. to 20 ga. inserts and that will help out a bunch with recoil!!!

The "Sellier & Bellot 12 Gauge, 2-3/4", Special Sport Slug" is a low recoil one with limited penetration and a good price of under a buck.
They are sometimes hard to find .... but a quick search shows that Bullseye London has some in stock:

Or SFRC if you want to buy 125 rounds:

They are great for target practice ..... however they are not the most accurate slug I tested ...

+1 on the Aguila 1 3/4" rounds. I've used them for sporting clays. Also available in Buckshot or slugs. Not cheap but almost no recoil at all. In guns that will feed them you can fit an absolutely silly number of rounds in the mag if you are into that.

Thanks for that!

No problem ....

They are easy on your shoulder ... and I am getting 4 -6 inch groups at 50 meters with them .... good enough for plinking and target practice.

Penetration is about half of other slugs.

Yup! This ammo is the cat’s meow for 3 Gun stages that require slugs. Super soft recoiling, almost like 7.5 Target loads.
I didn’t realize how soft they were until I loaded normal slugs and shot them!
