I shot a mouse in my house one time with my .22 cal C02 crossman with a flat pellet and it wasn't worth it. Cleanup was gross.
Glad I have some lake water nearby ..the pool is outAdd chipmunks, toads, frogs, baby birds and far too many insects to that list, even when shocking with high chlorine levels. Little pricks have no issue setting up shop in the pool shed even if the chlorine is unbearable to humans. Last year when I opened the pool a mouse and a bunch of babies came shooting out the return line and were scattered on the bottom. Baby mice are likely my chickens favorite snack, they turn vicious and devour them...
I've tried shooting mice indoors in the past and to me it simply isn't worth the effort and risk of damage. Great fun outdoors though and as a teen I would lay items in long grass and the mice would build nests and live under this stuff. It was great fun to quickly lift whatever it was, usually plywood, and shoot them before they could make it to the surrounding long grass. Pellets put in backwards ripped huge holes in them, but accuracy is far more important than type of pellet as any hole through them is good enough.
I have been told ( by a buddy that when they were kids ) that if you feed them peanuts to get them used to them ( doesn't take long) then one day you throw in a peanut tyed to a fishing line you can reel them in range ! Them being so stubborn they won't let go of the peanuts they have stuffed in there cheeks . When he told me this I thought he was pulling my leg but after tangling with a couple I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work !no more coffee while reading.. almost cost a keyboard. My old neighbor had a raccoon fall through his ceiling while he was on vacation. the trash panda was sleeping on his bed when he came home. I wouldnt have believed it if I didn't see the damage in person.
Right now I'm at 8 squirrels in the garage, 1 more to go. The elusive tree rat seems to be able to figure out when I have the .22 and when I don't.

Maybe you can have a little trade deal to get some from him...There is a poison you can get; however its only available with a farm licence. its irritating that the guy 1km from my house can use it and I cant. The guy at the farm supply store said he uses it in the rafters of his barns and it has been an excellent indoor critter control.
