I have an early Winchester low wall, it is a rf and the barrel is shot. It was pointed out that 32-40 might be too much pressure for the action. It could be left as a 22 but I think I would have more fun shooting cast out of it. Range is not that important as with my eyes this is going to be a 50-75 yd gun for most shooting. What cal. do you think it can make. I am now thinking 32-20, etc. Thanks

Why not a 38 Special or maybe a 357 mag? Low walls won't handle too much pressure.

And a .357 mag can generate upwards of 40,000 psi...too hot for my liking, a 32-20 would be beautiful in a low wall, components are available altho sometimes hard to find and can be easily loaded within low wall parameters.
