Hey guys I'm looking to purchase an optic for my AR15 but not looking at spending top dollar for one. Most of my shooting is done around 100 yds. I have been looking at the Burris AR-332 or the Spitfire 3X Prism which falls into my price range. I was just wondering if anyone here has used one of these optics and could give me some feedback or recommend something that falls into the same price range. I know there is lots of awesome high priced stuff out there but for the type of shooting I do I don't want to spend thousands. Thanks!

Maybe Cabela's house brand?

I've heard good things about all the options mentioned so far though (Vortex and Burris)

In my experience, the optic quality required for a user is not determined by the distance shot, rather how dependable to user expects it to be (true tracking of adjustments, holding zero) and/or clarity an crispness of the sight picture.

It's always a balance. The money spent or saved on an optic is usually quickly forgotten. Performance lingers, good or bad.

A conventional hunting scope 1-4, 1 1/2-5 will work fine. I have a Bushnell Trophy that I've used on AR. Never babied it, ran it in pouring rain, no problems.

Thanks for the help guys! I think I might check out that Bushnell TRS-25. My other AR's have scopes so was looking to try something different. With the amazing sale Wolverine had on the DD I couldn't resist and had to buy one so now I need 2 new optics :)

Lol, one step forward, two steps back. Enjoy the new rifle!
