Many Members have e-mailed asking about another Introduction to Tactical Rifle Competition Course like the one we ran at CFGPA in April. The next course is taking place on June 25 at Thompson Mountain Sporting Association in Pitt Meadows.
This course will allow interested parties to learn how to safely and competently participate in the Tactical Rifle events taking place at CFGPA and TMSA. It is open to any skill levels, and is a great way to try the sport out!!
It is an all-day affair, and participants will learn how to safely compete on the move, reloading, shooting on the support side, use cover, negotiate VTAC boards, and assume positions (kneeling, sitting, prone and urban prone). It is free for TMSA members, and they are extending a reduced day card fee for other participants ($20 instead of $40). Participants will be able to complete the CASE (Competency and Safety Exam) assessment which qualifies them to shoot the Tactical Rifle matches at CFGPA and TMSA.
You need a reliable semi-auto rifle (SKS, AR, XCR, Tavor, etc), mags (or strippers) and ammo. More details will follow in joining instructions.
