Yes, I’ve heard from good sources that this is true. I’ve also heard from the same sources that PA specs better materials and tolerances where vortex has a different approach where they focus on keeping their price low enough that they can just throw new ones at anyone that has a issue. This is the lower end vortex stuff I’m taking about.

IMO a Swaro Z8i with a ACSS reticle would be the tits. Only thing i might change is make the chevron smaller and just have a dot on the tip for illumination.

I'd buy that.

I hadn't used my Primary Arms with the ACSS for a while and figured it would be a good fit for a service rifle competition I was doing last year (easy holdovers etc) but I found that while its not horrible the other optics I have with better glass / lesser reticles were still better overall so I ended up switching back.

Glass clarity is important.

Yes and that’s why I don’t want a cheap 1-8x. I can’t put the money down on a really nice 8x so I want to buy a better end 1-6x. Better glass is always top priority for me. I like gopher shooting and same thing. Looking through poor glass all day and you walk away with a huge headache and fatigued eye. I learned a while back to get the best glass you can afford.

I ordered the new Trijicon Credo 1-6 Mil FFP, lighter and cheaper than the 1-8. Hopefully see it by the weekend so I can try it out on my .223 rifle. $1,669 for that one which is in your price range I think.
