Hey everyone,

Looking for some advice... Surprise!

I'm getting back into long range shooting after a 'long' break (and a couple tours in AFG). Two years ago I sold my 6mm rig to scrape together some cash for equipment. I recently picked up a nice 308 rifle, and I'm looking to top it with some decent glass.

Previously I had an S&B scope, but my budget doesn't even come close to being able to afford that again. I've nailed down a couple requirements, and wondering if someone can weigh in with a reccomendation:

- $1200 budget +/-
- 30x ++ top end mag
- Milling reticle
- Mil Turrets (tactical preferred)
- Proper zero stop function

I've been looking at the Sightron SIII scopes, which offer both an 8-32 and a 10-50 at a good price, though no proper zero stop. The problem I'm running into is that they don't seem to offer a milling reticle in combination with mil turrets. So the best I can do is a mil-dot reticle with mil turrets.

I've also heard good things about the Bushnell Elite Tactical ERS 4.5-30x50. It doesn't have a milling reticle or zero stops, but it does have mil turrets.

The Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR 3.5-21x50 G2DMR is popular on the comp circuit, but it's a bit light in the magnification range.

A Nightforce NXS with NPR1 reticle and zero stops would have all the features I want, but it's well out of my price range...

Does anyone have other suggestions I'm missing?

Thanks!
