LRB gas cylinder

My thoughts too - I think LRB outsources their gas cylinder production. Not sure who makes them for LRB? It is blackened stainless steel or carbon steel?

All M14 variants that I'm aware of use the same spline arrangement for their gas cylinders. The only exception is that if you have a chinese M14 you need to use the original gas lock, but the GI and US made aftermarket gas cylinders are a drop-in fit.

If you replace the barrel with a US threaded one, obviously you could then use the GI or LRB gas lock too.

Finally, if you use the LRB cylinder, you will need a USGI (or equivalent) gas plug - the Norinco one will no longer fit.

any u.s. spec gas cylinder will fit a chinese barrel. but as stated above, you will need to use your chinese gas lock. You will however need to ensure that you use a u.s. spec gas plug AND a u.s. spec piston. brownells carries both if you get stuck
