LRB vs. James River Armory semi-auto only new forged M14

I know that as a (soon to be former) Norc owner I'm out of my depth here, but I just got a JRA Garand the other day and after fondling it for a few minutes....wellsir... I want their M-14 :)~~~

Don't tease me! Lol mine hasn't arrived yet and I've been checking the tracking # 5 times a day.

It's ok. I only had time for a quicky anyway ;)

oddly it arrived with the bolt locked back for some reason..

Next summer I think I'm going to put the AR-15's aside and have a Garand year :)

Need to work up loads in both .308 and 30-06

The LRB M25 receivers are an innovation that made my decision a simple one as it did away with the need for a seperate bolt on mount.

For owner/user comparisons on the two company's products I think Canadian forums are a poor source for good info however.

LRB M25 receiver were exclusive for a while but I believe it's JRA that released a similar "M21" receiver last year.

You're right, the M14 forum would be the place to look for such a comparison.

Ya, I saw some pics of one of those JRA versions. As strange as it might sound, I don't spend much time on the US forums, very occasionally at best.
My LRB M25 was ordered long before JRA hit the market but if I was in that position all over again, the US forums is where I would go to get info prior to choosing one over the other.

Lots of good reports on the JRA on the M14 Forums. I spent a bit of time looking, planning my next build.
