Hey,

Is it possible to get a LTATT to a range, when you dont want to be a member and just pay the guest rate the maybe once every few months you wish to shoot?

Rather not pay a membership rate, when can just pay $20 and show up randomly.

i really don't understand how each province can make up it's own rules for federal legislation. Why should me living in Ontario force me to join a club to lawfully target shoot at a legitimate range.

Just wait until you realize that CFO's can "get" that position in different ways, depending on the province....;)....it'll really give some food for thought!....:p

You should look for a gun "club" then.

I am not a member of a range, but I have a membership at a club ($15/year), and my ATT is good for any range I feel like frequenting.

If you are in BC, I can point you towards the the club I'm a member of.

Aside from silverdale and target sports is there anywhere else in Ontario where you could pay per use?

Even those places will not grant temp. ATT's to individuals too easily, though, IIRC.....:(

Not really...I just renewed my LTATT and had to produce a club membership.

Yes, but we've no such equivalent as a $15 gun vclub membership!.....

The situation you describe would not necessarily require a long-term ATT; with such an (in)frequency your CFO might prefer that you just telephoned his office - in advance - of each and every time that you would wish to go to a range.
That way the CFO's people could issue you a painfully restrictive, verbal, temporary, one-time-only ATT.

There is the easy way, and there is the hard way.

I suggest that you bite the bullet and join an approved shooting club.

I don't know about you but I was raised to not back down from a fight when I know I'm right.
