LTATT taking too long

Here in quebec it's very long....

For example:
7 weeks for LTATT
8 weeks for transfer of AR15

I think they are slowing the process because of the end of registry....

The LGR has nothing to do with LTATT's and wouldn't cover an AR15

My LTATT took about a week and a half back in Aug/Sept and now when I call with a question I can't even get through, so you're lucky you talked to a live person. My Temp ATT / transfer of my last handgun took a week and a bit yet on Boxing Day at Wholesale I was in, Waited for someone, ordered, paid and out the door in 45 mins with a non-restricted.

Maybe it's just the luck of the draw. I had an AR-15 and a 1911, both ordered on the same day, take 17 days.
I had an HK P-30L take 4 days. The transfer was done before 4:00PM on Monday and I had the ATT and registration in my mailbox on Friday.

As far as the OP goes he'll be in for a lot of disappointment as a firearms owner in Canada.

Just wait till someone tells him it will be 18-24 months to order that certain something he wants to buy.

Being nice to people doesn't cost a thing and it sure helps in getting things done.

Must have pissed her off, I phoned in to initiate the application then emailed in a copy of my range membership and RPAL - had an emailed reply with my LTATT within hours. ( this was 2 weeks ago )

BC & Yukon LTATT

Mind you I took the sugar approach... Ive also been told I have a ###y phone voice, so maybe that helped !

Sorry yours is taking so long though : (

I phoned the normal number and to my knowledge was not transferred to Alberta CFO's office. Had my STATT and a LTATT 10 minutes later via email.

I am not sure if they screen incoming phone calls. In the past if I had to speak to someone in the Alberta office I got a "hold on while I transfer you".
