Is an LTATT issued to you for every restricted firearm you purchase ? ... or do you just get one and use it to transport any restricted firearm you own to a club ?

It may depend on the province; some will allow any restricted you own being taken to and from any range, smith and border crossings.

I see...I guess I have to find out what happens in Ontario.

The situation is that I have an RPAL and would like to buy two restricted firearms right off the bat. One from a shop which is at the club where I shoot...and one from a dealer in Manitoba.

So I guess I am wondering what happens if I am asking to have two firearms transferred to me at the same time...plus an LTATT ?

Go buy what you want, the dealer will have to process transfer and the gun will make it to you. Then, you will have to make sure your LTATT is taking care of the new purchases (if need be). You can always call CFC and ask too ;)

I'm in Ontario and my LTATT covers all restricted firearms registered to me. No list, no need for a new one every time you buy a new restricted firearm.

hey do you need an LTATT to transfer a gun into your name/buy one? or is it only to transport it?

In Ontario you just get a LTATT for all the guns registered to your address.

You have to join a club and your club applies for the LTATT for you. You do not apply for your own LTATT in Ontario!

You can buy a gun whenever you want but they expect you to be a member of a club, or at least give them your plans to join one. You will get a short term ATT to transport the gun home, but can't do much else with it till you get a LTATT from your club.

If you purchase the two firearms you will have to wait for each transfer to be approved separately.

Once approved at the local shop you will be issued a STATT to bring it home.

The one that you order from Manitoba will again need to be approved and then be put in the mail. It will either be delivered to you at your residence, or picked up by you at the post office not to be opened until you get home.
