Lubaolx coated bullets

I was just looking around on Nosler's website and noticed that their Ballistic Silvertip bullets are Lubalox coated and are supposed to reduce fouling. Anyone use these and care to comment?

KDX; The Lubalox coating is that Black coating that shows up on Winchester ammo quite often. The formula is proprietary, and is not moly related.
If it actually does reduce fouling, my experience does not bear that out.
I have shot the Ballistic Silvertip, and the plain Ballistic Tip in the same rifle, and fouling was similar as far as I could see.

Thanks for the info. From what Nosler is saying on their website it should be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Or close to it anyway. I'll never go the moly coat route myself.

KDX; I like and shoot a lot of Nosler bullets.
However, as with any other manufacturer, there are some things that one must take "with a grain of salt" lol.
The Lubaloy coating was introduced initially by Winchester and used on their "Failsafe" bullets.
It looks ###y, but I very much doubt it's functionality is as great as one is led to believe.
Personally, I have tried many different coatings, and have always reverted back to bare bullets, and have pretty well settled on using the same, whether hunting or shooting long range, or.....whatever. Regards, Eagleye.
