Lube for your press

Been using 30 weight motor oil as per OEM specs from day one. Pour some on a cloth and rub a film on rams. A little drop her & there in the joints / bushings and all done. Going strong and still slick as snot!

The good stuff is always discontinued... usually something pesky like asbestos or some other carcinogenic, but dammit it works so good!

There is this 3M polish/glaze I've been hanging onto for years. Discontinued product and the replacement is no where as good. Well I hope I still have it... buried somewhere because I'm afraid to use it on anything!

I use STOS on all the linkage and powdered graphite on the ram. Slick as snot on a doorknob! Eagleye.

I usually use G-96, just because it is handy . When cleaning the cams and axles on my bow, the shop had a Teflon spray that worked very well and it doesn't attract or retain dirt and grime. They tell me that it is available from places that install windshields, but I haven't had any luck finding it yet... I'll need to look harder.

We have it at work it is called teflube. Will have to give it a shot. I have never lubed my press!

i still have some left of the "LEE relaoding lube" that came with my press, when that runs out i think i will use a synthetic white greese, anything will work but a lude that wipes off easily is nice to limit mess on your hand, bench, pants etc.

On my Lee single stage I use Militec-1.

Just heat up the metal to 150F and apply. Wipe off excess before use and it's good to go.

The Hornady LNL AP will be different whenever it arrives.

Thanks jdman!!! I'll see if I can source it... the guys that are using the teflon spray, swear by it. It has worked very well on my compund bows. Thanks again!
