lube heater for RCBS LAM II ?

what are my heater options for the RCBS Lube-A -matic II ,i was using some of the red dragon lube and it's pretty hard with out some form of heating it first. so just wanting to know what you guy's use to heat your harder lube's?

Lyman makes a universal one that fits the Rcbs as well as others, it mounts on your bench and the luber/sizer bolts on top of it. It does not have a thermostat, so it's either plugged in and on or unplugged and off, but can be rigged with a dimmer switch....Ben

A friend put me on to a magnetic 300 watt heater from princess auto. They go on sale for $25, I have one now but have not had the opportunity to try it yet on my lyman.

I was going to just plant an aluminum plate under mine, and use the household iron on it. Thermostat equipped, and I already have it.

Some of the guys on castboolits are just using a small desk or bedside lamp, placed close to the lubesizer a while before starting. They say it works for them.

A fella could probably scrounge up a coffe cup warmer or two, and set himself up with a pretty decent rig, if he wanted to be frugal about it.

Auberins.com sells controllers and thermocouples for pretty reasonable, if a guy wanted to go high-tech.

The Lyman heater is what I have used on my Lube-A-Matic for many years. Just finished using it this morning as it happens. Works very well with hard lubes, but right now I use it sparingly with SPG for my black powder stuff. In the process of setting up dedicated luber-sizers.

In past adventures I have used a couple of silly things. First was a heat lamp directed at the lube reservoir. I wound up getting a man-made sunburn. I then tried a propane torch to warm up the lube. Worked pretty damn good too. Just a pain in butt to deal with the torch. Oh the joys of doing what you can with what you got.
