Is the HD7 worth the extra $100 compared to the Strikefire?

I've got 3 Strikefire's right now, and they work great. I've never had a problem with any of them, but I do like the "ring of death" feature that the HD7 offers.

Is it worth taking the loss and switching?

I will have my HD7 some time this week and will do a review on it... I have a SPARC to compare it too...

will keep you posted... Im still waiting for my YHM rail for my AR ... So as soon as I get it I will go to the range...

cheers

I liked the Lucid.

It has the "ACOG" look to it, very rugged construction.

But what I really liked was that it's a one piece optic when it is mounted.

I have a Lucid on my stag, and really like it as a sight. I got it zeroed and it hasn't moved since. Quick to aquire targets, clear and the last time out my binos and shooting glasses fogged but it stayed crystal clear. It's the only red dot I have any experience with but I really like it.

The 2x optic boost on the HD7 is only $36 or less. Works wonders and the 5 months I've had my Lucid I haven't had any issues. The auto brightness mode is great!
Please believe when I say you're not taking a loss!

Had a strikefire, liked it but ended up selling it to a friend. Picked up a Lucid 3 months ago and love it. In my opinion the auto-brightness and changeable reticles are worth the extra money.
