Lucid on an m14?

Just wondering if anyone has tried this combo. Has anyone mounted a Lucid red dot on an M14/M305? I am wondering if it would be too high for a decent cheek weld?

The lucid would work depending on the type of stock you have

I just have the GI issue stock. From looking at the Lucid rigging, it would appear that it may sit a tad high for a good cheek weld and I don't really want to add stuff to the stock to bring the cheek weld higher. Would be a nice rig with a 3x magnifier.

Ya it will sit too high with the usgi stock. Try a falcon 1.5-5 scope. I'm runing that on mine with high rings to work with my M14doc CQB stock

I had a Falcon and sold it. Not a bad scope, but it had a couple of things that weren't for me. Heavy for the size too. I kinda figured that the Lucid would sit too high with the GI stock.

Id take the falcon over the lucid..both entry level tho.
bushnell makes some nice scopes that work well on the M14.

I have an Aimpoint Comp ML2 on my M14. Without a riser on the stock its ok, Im used to ARs so I had to place the stock more into my jaw than my cheek. However, I purchased a riser that I gun taped only a few inches up and now it feels awesome!

One day I won't be lazy and I will actually attach the riser the way it was intended, but for now its nice and comfortable they way it is.
