well as a former worker at P&D many years ago I still drop in frequently. just happen to pop in the the office are and notice a couple of firearms getting ready for display. diane having trouble removing the mag from a nice 22 rifle. Showed her a little trick and slid the mag out for her. She loved it.....LOL
hands me the rifle, tells me it is out of Phil's collection, a beauty BRNO model 5 with exceptional wood manufactured in 1968. Gosh golly Diane I don't have the $850 this rifle is worth with the scope and sling. Well needless to say a less expensive price was offered to me and whoo... Hoooo i was going home with a super sweet Model 5.
I have it on good authority this rifle has not been fired in a number of years, this will change shortly. FS

You can't beat that at all, sometimes being at the right place at the right time gets you a prize. It sounds like a really nice rifle you got yourself.

I have a Brno Mod 5 my dad purchased in 1972. Lumber, fit and finish parallel to an expensive centre fire. Accuracy astounding. Stock is Beechwood I believe. You're going to love that little gem...
