luepold vx 3 issues??

Well - If the rifle is shooting hard left or right due to a bad crown, bent barrel, bases aligned but off-axis, you"ll be maxing out the scope again... Leupold is certainly capable of determining whether a scope is pooched or not....
BTW - Do you know the mirror trick for determining if the reticle is off centre? Might be worth checking after your next sight in...

Curious if you read the whole thread...

I certainly did.. All the dealer would likely have done for you is set up the scope properly in the rings, and show you that the rings are in alignment with each other. Then a boresighter would likely be used to roughly dial in the scope. Whether the scope is in alignment with the true trajectory of the bullet remains to be determined at the range - boresighters are notoriously inaccurate...
All I'm trying to do is save you further grief - see posts 36 and 37. If the new scope is pushed to the adjustment limits like the old one, you may be having further interaction with Leupold. Once you shoot the rifle at the range, and get it dialed in, you can check the reticle by looking in a mirror. There are videos on You-tube that show you how to do this. If it is determined that the reticle is reasonably on optical center, you should have a trouble-free and repeatable scope/rifle.
