does anyone know anything about luger .22? i am new to guns so i have no clue as to what should be looking when buying a handgun. i would appriciate any help with this luger .22. the retail price is around 299$ not sure if it is a good deal or not

It's a Luger replica since the original Luger company didn't make a .22. And even if they did it wouldn't be $300.

You don't mention the brand so it's hard to offer any other information related to if it's a good gun or not. All I can say is stick the brand name along with "review" into google as keywords and then read what pops up and make your mind from the information in those results.

On the other hand if you spelled it wrong and it's a RUGER .22 then if it's new for $300 that's a pretty decent price. It may not be bad for a used one depending on the model and if it's in decent shape.

no it is a Luger no brand name all the ad on the webpage (the gun dealer in NB) said was luger .22 in very good condition. but since i dont know much about guns. i figured i will ask,
thankyou for the google tip i found there are 2 brands. Erma and Stoeger i guess i will have to call and find out.
since i live in Ontario dealer is in New Branswik i am not sure what questions to ask either

You should ask if it's an Erma, which is usually quite a good pistol. Stoeger not so much. Also, you should ask if any problems are known, if any work has been done on it, and if it has been tested to make sure it works properly. The question in my mind is why you're buying this if you're new to guns? There are lots of .22s that would work just as well if not better. .22 Lugers are fairly rare and if that's the one you want, then that's what you should get. But you should ask lots of questions about use, wear and tear and functionality. Also, don't forget to talk to CFC to make sure you've got the right license to get a gun like that.
