That's great if you're at a retro night club or buy a UV hand light. But in that case you may as well just go with the tritium sights instead of an extra piece of gear to pack around.
Again though, glow in the dark sights are only good for use in dark conditions. And other than police or other armed security persons we simply do not shoot in dark enuogh conditions where glow in the dark sights will provide any advantage.
Anything that lets you see the sight will do nicely. Nail polish is acrylic, so it's somewhat durable. I wouldn't use luminous paint though. Might cause the sight to disappear in sun light. White Testor's model paint works well.
I had the same problem with my Smith and Wesson model 17. the sights were too damn hard to see at my range.
I used "glow-on" sight paint. baught off of ebay (sponsors didnt have it). it came with a small thing of paint, and some "stickers". use a hole punch to punch the holes and than used clear nail polish to glue the sticker permanetly. its more of a pad than a sticker. Its good stuff and i have since put it on a few other guns.
